This new year has welcomed us with the implementation of the law recently published by the BOE, through the order that regulates the working day registry for workers.
Currently, Royal Decree-Law 8/2019 establishes mandatory timekeeping for employees. This measure seeks to ensure transparency, protect workers’ rights and prevent possible irregularities related to hours worked and unrecorded overtime, in addition to putting an end to manual processes that generate workload and possible errors.
But what does the new time registration law require?
The regulation establishes that all organizations must register on a mandatory basis:
- The exact start and end time of the working day.
- Breaks and breaks taken throughout the day.
- An accessible and transparent register, both at the request of employees and for possible labor inspections.
What forms of registration are recommended to comply with the Workday Registration Law?
We tell you about the clocking in and clocking out of the most popular employees we work with at BOLD:
- Time clocks: these are physical devices where employees clock in and out using cards or codes. The software collects this information, classifies it and processes it into data that is accessible to planners and the employees themselves.
- Time Management Software: is the digital tool that allows employees to record their working hours through web applications or mobile devices through the APP. These systems automate the process, provide detailed reports and are especially useful for managing teams working remotely or in different locations.
