On October 26th we held the BOLD | Healthcare 2024 Users Meeting. An event that we organized for the third consecutive year and that brings together different users of BOLD software in the same space with the aim of sharing new contributions about the tool, product news, applications, success stories, trends and needs of the sector.
Maintaining the format of previous years, we opened the event by thanking the attendees and presenting the new features of the software by the Support and Development team. This was followed by the presentations of the papers, followed by a breakfast break and the Talk Tables. Finally, we closed the event with an interactive discussion table.
The presentation of BOLD’s new products always begins with a review of the work plan by Aureli Joaniquet, Director of the Development Department. During the presentation, he highlighted the objectives achieved throughout the year and the short-term future objectives for product improvement.
The implementation and installation of 64bit and certifications in security systems such as ISO 27001 and the National Security Scheme (ENS) were among the elements achieved by the end of the year. In addition, Aureli commented on the first steps of the start-up and the progress in the BOLD APP and the portal, as well as the expansion of the Coverage Offering in response to clients’ needs.
In the second part of the BOLD news, the Director of the Support Team, Guayasén Osorio, presented the improvements in the department’s procedures. Among the parameterizable configurations that he presented, the following were highlighted:
- Notification messaging between the manager and the professional.
- Management and incorporation of 8-week parental leave.
- Automatic synchronization of agendas for scheduled appointments with healthcare professionals, taking into account leaves of absence and vacations.
BOLD audits, certifications and training have also been incorporated as new procedures within the tool’s after-sales services. From the support team, continuous training needs have been identified as a result of the tickets received and the continuous movements in the planning teams.
BOLD APP was also a topic that was touched upon, giving the first glimpses of the user experience that the latest tests have revealed.
Following the format of the meeting, the second part of the event featured presentations by BOLD users from the healthcare sector.
- From Bellvitge University HospitalJoaquin Juarez and Albert Batlle from the Direction of Nurse Team Managers and Professionals, talked about their experience in the implementation of the Supply of Coverage module for the systematization of job substitutions.
- From Althaia Xarxa Asistencial Universitària ManresaToni Garcia, Head of the Budget Management and Planning Area, explained how the implementation of a planning tool for data exploitation has been necessary in the organization, since it has allowed to obtain and define analytical APIs among other data, which facilitate monitoring and decision making in resource management.
- From San Juan de Dios ZaragozaBegoña Vicente and Beatriz Albert, People and Values Technicians, showed us the evolution of BOLD as a planning and people management system within the organization after 10 years of implementation.
The BOLD Talk Tables have been part of the meeting agenda for the second consecutive year. The Talk Tables are small capsules in workshop format that are developed around a base theme moderated by the GPS team. An opportunity to share different perspectives and experiences among software users from different entities.
To close the meeting, we organized a panel discussion called Paint BOLD, a redefinition of the classic round table in which questions were asked interactively and live by the attendees themselves. With the aim of encouraging participation and active listening, small debates arose. Among the participants we were able to listen to:

The BOLD 2024 User Meeting was, once again, a great opportunity that we took full advantage of to talk and share with all our users in the healthcare sector.
