In the second part of the meeting, our BOLD users from the healthcare sector were the main protagonists through the presentation of papers.
- From the Hospital Sanitari San Joan de Reus, Susana Jiménez, Head of the Planning Unit, shared the challenges in implementing the workforce management tool. He spoke to us about how technician training, enhancements and the development of new functionality have been instrumental in improving the planning of healthcare professionals in the organization.
- Joana Borrego, Head of HR Administration at Hospital Universitari Parc Taulí, spoke about the HR perspective in the implementation of the BOLD project. From the organization, the importance of HR analysis in the proper management of the tool is key to respect agreements and regulations according to the standards, therefore, the knowledge of the process in the promotion of the tool means a much more efficient and productive management of the tool itself.
- Miguel Ángel Molina, Director of Nursing at Mútua Terrassa, explained the BOLD planning in the organization’ s healthcare service. The presentation focused on the implementation of BOLD from a functional perspective of the system, where the different gears that make up the tool were explained, such as marking, counters, absences, records, contractual reasons, analytical accounting and payment automation.
- From Hospital San Joan de Déu Materno – Infantil we had the presence of Santiago Marin, Head of Planning, and Clàudia Oriol, Technician of the Planning Unit. During the presentation we were shown the evolution of the implementation of the BOLD tool and the most recent addition of the Hedge Management module. Some of the ideas they presented were how the tool centralizes functionalities that integrate payment management with external platforms, hiring, recruitment and loyalty through the organization-worker relationship, Power BI integration for data export and reports, and the management of working professionals through the APP.
The round table discussion was also a small capsule of dialogue that formed part of the structure of the meeting in which we were accompanied by various key HR figures from different healthcare centers.
In this panel, María Angeles Orenes, Deputy Director of Nursing at Hospital Bellvitge; Joaquín del Pino, Head of People and Values Planning at Hospital San Joan de Déu; Javier Companys, Economist and Expert in Human Resources Management; Marvin Geraghty, Project Manager at GPS; and Miguel Pineda, Consultant Manager at GPS (who served as moderator), discussed the challenges of digitalization in people management.
Participants shared interesting reflections on how digitalization can improve the lives of workers. Digitalization has allowed the creation of a solid structure that simplifies processes and broadens the vision of both the organization and the employee, considering the interaction between the two as a form of direct management.
Finally, on this occasion we had the opportunity to add a novel element that we picked up from the feedback of the last meeting to encourage interaction between users from different organizations.
The BOLD Talk Tables were small workshops that were developed around a base theme moderated by the GPS team. An opportunity to share different perspectives and experiences among users that you can also make use of through the BOLD Users Club, a dynamic group on LinkedIn that aims to bring topics of interest to interact among the same members.
Once again this year’s BOLD 2023 User Meeting was a great opportunity to create a space for discussion and sharing with all our healthcare users.
We thank all the participants who made the event possible, as well as the attendees and the organization. See you soon!
